In a powerful show of support for youth innovation, renowned Delta State industrialist and CEO of Rainoil Limited, Dr. Gabriel Ogbechie, has gifted ₦5 million and a full educational scholarship to 16-year-old Emmanuel Chinedu Nwali, an SS1 student whose miniature model of a Rainoil filling station captured national attention.
The young prodigy’s project—a detailed and lifelike mini filling station—quickly went viral on social media, sparking admiration for its creativity, craftsmanship, and vision. The buzz prompted Rainoil to launch a search for the boy behind the masterpiece.
When Emmanuel was finally located, he was welcomed and celebrated by Rainoil’s top brass. In a moving presentation ceremony, Dr. Ogbechie personally handed over a ₦5 million cheque and announced that Emmanuel’s education, from his current level up to university graduation, would be fully funded by the company.
“Creativity like this deserves more than applause; it deserves opportunity, investment, and a clear path forward,” Dr. Ogbechie declared during the ceremony, drawing praise for not only recognizing talent but acting decisively to nurture it.
Dr. Ogbechie, a native of Idumuje Ugboko in Aniocha North LGA, founded Rainoil in 1994 and has built it into a leading energy brand in Nigeria. His latest gesture underscores his deep commitment to youth empowerment and innovation—a message that young dreamers across the country will not soon forget.
This heartwarming encounter is a testament to what can happen when brilliance meets opportunity, and when leaders choose to lift the next generation with more than just words.
