The Rivers State Police Command has apprehended a 43-year-old woman named Gift for allegedly biting off the tip of her partner’s penis during a domestic dispute in the Mile 3 area of Diobu, Port Harcourt.
The incident took place on Thursday and caused significant alarm among residents of Bishop Okoye Street when details emerged.
Reports indicate that the conflict started when Gift’s partner, identified only as Sunday, requested sexual activity. Gift reportedly declined, accusing him of using sex-enhancing drugs that prolonged their encounters. A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, stated, “Mr. Sunday became angry and allegedly attacked his partner for refusing him.”
During the altercation, Gift reportedly bit off the tip of his penis. The man’s screams attracted the attention of neighbors, some of whom attempted to confront Gift before the police intervened.
The woman was rescued by officers from the Nkpolu Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, and was taken into custody. Meanwhile, Sunday was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical care.
Superintendent of Police Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, confirmed the incident on Friday, stating, “Yes, I can confirm the incident. The woman, aged 43, has been arrested and an investigation is ongoing.”
