Wike’s Wrath: Fubara’s Political Future Hangs by a Thread

In a corrosive interview on Channels Television, Minister of the Federal Capital, Territory Nyesom Wike, blasted a fiery broadside at Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, vowing to never support him again in his political life.

This volatile declaration marks a permanent rift between the two politicians, signaling the end of their political alliance.

Wike, his voice trembling with rage, recounted the sacrifices he made to ensure Fubara’s political ascent. “I brought you up and put you here. Today, I turned out to be over demanding,” he furiously exclaimed. “People laboured to put up a structure. People laboured; you wouldn’t have even taken the 50th position. I sacrificed to talk to the Ogonis; I sacrificed to talk to several other people who let us go this way.”

Wike’s ire was palpable as he denounced Fubara’s actions, which he believed were a betrayal of his trust. “You turned it that I am asking for N50 billion, N100 billion. You turned up lies against me; I brought you up and put you here. Today, I turned out to be over demanding.”

In a stark warning, Wike asserted his political independence and signaled his willingness to forge new alliances. “What is Wike demanding? In every politics or political family, you run elections under people, and people work together. We must have to keep our political structure.”

This bombshell announcement has created a media frenzy through the political establishment, with many analysts predicting a fallout in the political calculus of Rivers State.

As Wike emphatically declared, “I’m done supporting you,” the question on everyone’s lips is: what’s next for Fubara and Wike?
