University of Ibadan honours NDDC boss as Ambassador Extraordinaire
Samuel Ogbuku, managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has been honored by the University of Ibadan (UI) as the “Ambassador Extraordinaire” in celebration of the university’s 75th anniversary. This award recognizes his dedication to improving the lives of people in the Niger Delta region.
The presentation of this unique award was made by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale, who noted that it honors individuals who have significantly contributed to building a better society.
Ogbuku dedicated the accolade to the management and staff of the NDDC, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to implementing policies and programs that benefit the Niger Delta. He expressed the NDDC’s readiness to collaborate with universities on research and development initiatives, stating that such partnerships would enhance the nation’s economy, create jobs, and reduce capital flight.
