“Tompolo’s Urgent Appeal: Tinubu Working Hard to Address Economic Hardships”

High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, has called on Nigerians to cancel the planned nationwide protest set for August 1-10, 2024. He argues that President Tinubu is making significant efforts to tackle economic hardships, and the timing of the protest could be detrimental to national interests.

Tompolo, also the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, recognizes the right to protest but points out that the current economic difficulties did not begin with the Tinubu administration. He praised the administration’s efforts to improve the economy and address security issues.

He cautioned that security reports suggest the protest could be exploited by individuals with harmful intentions, potentially worsening the situation. Tompolo, along with other concerned Nigerians, urged protesters to work with the government to find enduring solutions to the country’s challenges.

He also noted that the threat of the protest has already prompted President Tinubu to acknowledge the concerns of potential protesters. Tompolo’s appeal aligns with warnings from the National Security Adviser, governors, and prominent traditional leaders.
