In a heartfelt letter, the youths of Arogbo Ijaw Kingdom have extended their sincere appreciation to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo Oweizide, popularly known as Tompolo, over his unwavering commitment to the development of the Ijaw nation. His leadership has been lauded for fostering growth and security in the Niger Delta region, with significantly positive impacts on Arogbo-Ibe.

The youths, representing various communities within Arogbo Ibe, acknowledged Tompolo’s efforts in enhancing the economic and social conditions of the region. They particularly commended his role in the creation of jobs through his security network initiative, “Tantita”, which has been instrumental in combating oil theft and boosting economic activities in the coastal and riverine kingdoms.

AROGBO IBE YOUTHS: LETTER OF SINCERE APPRECIATION AND APPEAL TO GOVERNMENT OKPOMUKPOLO OWEIZIDE (TOMPOLO)

We, the youths of our dear community, with deep and sincere concern, wish to express our appreciation over the good deeds and growth-fostering leadership of High Chief Government Okpomukpolo Oweizide, popularly known as Tompolo. With his consistent commitment to fairness, he has worked fervently for the survival and prosperity of the entire Ijaw nation.

If we were to spell out all the areas where your steadfast leadership and commitment have reshaped the Ijaw nation, it would fill many pages, as your contributions are endless. Your influence and mentorship have left behind a wealth of testimonies, from education, human capital development, and the economic strength of the Niger Delta region, to security and socio-cultural progress, all of which have resulted in significant growth and development of the region.

Furthermore, your contributions to national democratic development have not gone unnoticed.

In the growth of Arogbo Ibe, you have performed excellently through your unwavering support and contributions to the kingdom. Not forgetting the kingdom’s economic development, your security network, codenamed “Tantita,” has revitalized the economy by creating jobs for the youths, and you have also extended your support to the elders of the kingdom. Your involvement in the success of the annual “Arogbo Ibe Day” festival is also noteworthy. Your love for Arogbo Ibe has fostered a spirit of unity among the youths, uniting them in the fight against oil theft through your security network, “Tantita.”

In recognition of how your visionary ideas are transforming our coastal regions into the dream cities envisioned by our past heroes, we, the youths of the Kingdom, pledge our continuous loyalty and support to your leadership and developmental efforts to transform the Ijaw Nation.

Meanwhile, in pursuit of more development and empowerment, we request further opportunities through the “Tantita” security network. We ask to be part of this growth, helping to combat the scourge of oil theft in our communities. With sincere appreciation for your contributions, we also appeal to you for additional opportunities in the “Tantita” network, directly benefiting the youths of the kingdom.
