High Chief Prince Toikumoh Toboulayefa ThankGod, the Torukurowei of Arogbo Ijaw Kingdom, popularly known as General Osuwogidigidi I, The Three Lions of Niger Delta, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for signing into law the bill establishing the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

APPRECIATION FOR ASSENTING TO THE NIGERIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY BILL

I write to express my profound gratitude and deep appreciation for Your Excellency’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing education in the Niger Delta region. The recent enactment of the bill establishing the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, is a historic milestone that secures the university’s future and strengthens the educational foundation of our region.

As a proud Niger Delta ex-agitator leader and an Ijaw son deeply devoted to the progress of our people, I recognise this moment as a defining achievement. Your Excellency’s decision to formalise the university’s establishment is a legacy that will be cherished for generations. This statesmanlike act underscores your dedication to regional development, economic empowerment, and educational advancement for the people of the Niger Delta.

I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun III, Akerekpe-Agadagba Pere, the paramount ruler of Gbaramatu Kingdom, for his steady and unconditional support in achieving this milestone. Additionally, I wish to acknowledge and pay tribute to High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), the Izonebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, whose relentless commitment and strategic efforts were instrumental in realising this vision.
