The Exit of a spiritual Icon with a life of purpose and Dedication: Chief Michael Filatei Announces the Passing of Snr. Boanerges Filatei

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Snr. Boanerges Lawrence Amakiri Filatei (JP), who left us on August 2, 2024.

Born on September 7, 1939, the esteemed founder of Birama Zion Church Int’l in Biagbini, Ese Odo Local Government Area, Ondo State.

Snr. Boanerges Filatei was a revered Father of Faith and a guiding figure for many in the Biagbini Community.

His fatherly role earned him the affectionate title of “Dada” from all who knew him.

He was also notable for being the first person to drive a car in Arogbo Town, using it to transport Rev. (Dr.) Elisha Lene Ogunfeyimi, the Founder of Zion, during his visit.

In 2014, he made history by driving to Biagbini Land, an area previously considered unaccessible by car, to bring his mentor, Rev. Dr. Isaiah Jemine (General Overseer 2, of Zion Ministry Bolowou Headquarters), for an anniversary event.

This remarkable feat was a testament to his faith. His numerous contributions to the Zion Community earned him the titles “Ajanaku l of Zion Mission” and “Alaowei of Zion.”

Snr. Boanerges Filatei was also a successful businessman, community leader, and team builder, always offering solutions and guidance.

He is also a father of pastors, and did not just serve God alone but has trained so many of his children has Pastors and Bible scholars that can stand anywhere. He fathered 39 children with 7 wives, 33 of whom survived him.

He encouraged his followers to remain steadfast, avoid pride and rancour, fear God, and diligently serve both God and humanity.

The Legend’s departure leaves a profound void, but his legacy of faith and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
