The Anti-Pipeline Vandalisation/Oil Theft & Illegal Bunkering Task Force has praised Isiyaku Abdullahi, the Executive Vice President of the Downstream at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), for the ongoing reforms, achievements, and improvements in the oil and gas sector. The group, led by its national coordinator Comrade Pathfinder Fiawei, noted that Abdullahi’s leadership has had a significant positive impact on the downstream sector, attributing it to his transparency, integrity, and experience.
The task force expressed appreciation for the reforms Abdullahi has introduced, which they believe have transformed the sector and advanced Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. They commended his focus on integrity and transparency, which they said passed their “integrity test” and praised his efforts in boosting the country’s oil sector.

The task force highlighted several key results from these reforms, such as increasing the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC) annual profits from N3 billion to N19 billion and publishing NNPC’s first audited financial statements in 44 years, saving millions of dollars for the federation.
The group assured Abdullahi of their full support for his reforms, including tackling pipeline vandalism and illegal bunkering. They also emphasized their commitment to working alongside NNPCL to enforce accountability and transparency within the sector, particularly with the upcoming reopening of the country’s major refineries.
