Suspected Cultist Nabbed In Ondo With Ammunitions

Police in Ondo town, the administrative center of Ondo West Local Government Area, have arrested three suspected cult members. The suspects, believed to have been causing unrest in the area, were apprehended on Thursday, and ammunition was recovered from them.

According to reports, the suspects belong to different secret cult groups and were captured by the anti-crime unit attached to the Enuowa Divisional Police Station during a routine patrol aimed at maintaining law and order.

Currently held at the anti-cultism unit of the Ondo State Police Command, the suspects are undergoing investigation.

This arrest follows a recent violent clash between two rival cult groups that left two people dead and several others injured.

A senior officer at the Enuowa Divisional Police Station, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the arrests were part of the police’s ongoing efforts to curb cult-related violence in the town.
