Abdul Rasheeth, Special Adviser on Media to former Vice President and 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to reports suggesting that former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is preparing to contest the 2027 presidential election.
According to Vanguard, Jonathan has been holding closed-door meetings with key stakeholders across the country. The move is reportedly driven by prominent Nigerian leaders and elders who believe his six-year administration managed the economy effectively.
Reacting in a post on his official X handle on Thursday, August 7, 2025, Abdul Rasheeth expressed support for the possibility, saying:
“God, please make this happen. I want to check something.”
