Solidarity Visit: Ese-Odo Legislators Laud Otuaro’s Appointment of High Chief Sofiyegha as PAP’s Ondo Liaison Office Head during Courtesy Visit

The leadership of Ese-Odo Local Government Legislative Council, ably led by the Leader of Council, Rt. Hon. Elijah Jeremiah, has paid a courtesy visit to High Chief S.A. Sofiyegha, the newly appointed Head of the Ondo Liaison Office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

The delegation, which included the Deputy Leader, Hon. Perekeniboyegha Perry, the Majority Leader, Hon. (Mrs) Ditoi Feku, and several other principal officers of the council, expressed their heartfelt congratulations to High Chief Sofiyegha on his well-deserved appointment.

Other members of the delegation were Hon. Kowei Sunday Akpoesin, Chairman, Committee on Works, Land, and Housing; Hon. Olarewaju Afolabi, Chairman, Committee on Health and Petition; and Hon. Ebisinbofa Asetewu, Chairman, Committee on Environment.

In their remarks, the council legislators described the appointment of High Chief Sofiyegha as timely and strategic, citing his commitment to grassroots development and community engagement as major assets to the Amnesty Office.

They further used the occasion to commend the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, Ph.D, for appointing a capable hand to oversee the affairs of the Ondo Liaison Office. The delegation lauded Otuaro’s leadership, especially his efforts in restructuring the PAP and bringing its impact closer to the people at the grassroots.

Responding, High Chief Sofiyegha thanked the delegation for their visit and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with stakeholders to ensure the success of the PAP’s mandate in Ondo State.

The Ondo Liaison Office of the PAP is located in Agadagba, Arogbo Kingdom, Ese-Odo Local Government Area. The visit was marked by expressions of solidarity, collaboration, and a shared vision for peace and development across Ijaw communities in the region.
