Rivers Rebellion: Governor Fubara, Wike Loyalists at War

Former local government chairmen in Rivers State, who are die-hard loyalists of Minister Nyesom Wike, have unleashed a scathing attack on Governor Siminalayi Fubara, accusing him of orchestrating hunger protesters to besiege Wike’s Port Harcourt residence.

The chairmen, who served under Wike’s governorship, fired a salvo, warning Fubara that he doesn’t have the monopoly on violence.

Chidi Lloyd, former Chairman of Emuoha Local Government Area, hurled a verbal grenade:

“We know Fubara directed the protesters to Wike’s residence.

We’ll mobilize our people and march to Forces Avenue, where he’s building on a 32-plot of land. Enough is enough! Fubara can’t cow anybody here.

He knows it, and we know his properties and those of his cronies.”

Lloyd continued, “All they’ve achieved is massive looting of Rivers funds. Fubara should tread carefully. He’s trying to incite ethnic bigotry.

If yesterday’s protest at Ada George repeats itself, Fubara won’t be around to govern. We won’t let him destroy our achievements.

The protesters should storm the government house and demand what he’s done with the N238bn he collected between May and June.” He added.
