NIGER DELTA PROGRESSIVE YOUTH LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION (ND-PYLF) CHAIRMENSHIP FORUM

LETTER OF VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE PASSED ON THE ACTING CHAIRMAN OF RIVERS STATE COTEREAL / APPOINTMENT OF A NEW RIVERS STATE CHAPTER CHAIRMAN.

The Chairmen’s Forum of the Niger Delta Progressive Youth Leadership Foundation (ND-PYLF) has officially passed a vote of no confidence on the acting Chairman of the Rivers State Chapter, Cotereal. This decision was made during a meeting on September 2, 2024, due to several allegations against the acting Chairman, including corrupt practices, disrespect towards fellow chairmen and the National President, and the misappropriation of funds.

The forum highlighted that Cotereal’s conduct was unbecoming of a leader, noting his refusal to apologize after being given a 24-hour ultimatum. His behavior, which included calling other chairmen derogatory names and refusing to remit funds to the national account, has led to significant discord within the organization.

In light of these issues, the Chairmanship Forum has unanimously decided to remove Cotereal from his position and is calling for the immediate appointment of a new Rivers State Chapter Chairman. This action is seen as a move towards reinforcing discipline and good leadership within the ND-PYLF. The decision was supported by chairmen from several states, including Imo, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Abia, and Ondo, and it serves as an example of justice and leadership within the organization.
