Ritual killing: 20 year old arrested for using female student

Jeremiah Samson who has been identified had acknowledged that he had used Facebook to get in touch with Arab Money, a herbalist, about the ritual ceremony. Damilola, a 19-year-old student at the Federal University of Lokoja, Kogi State, was abducted, killed, and dismembered. Jeremiah Samson, a 20-year-old from Kaduna South, is suspected for multiple abduction. The Kogi State Police Command verified the development. The State Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya, disclosed that Samson was taken into custody in Lokoja on Wednesday.

According to PUNCH, Samson had previously abducted Damilola and demanded N400,000 from her parents, which he eventually obtained. “Investigation revealed that he proceeded to strangle the victim, dismember the body, and bury her in a shallow grave after collecting the money,” Aya wrote. Samson acknowledged that he had used Facebook to get in touch with Arab Money, a herbalist, about the ceremony. “Samson revealed that after Damilola made an attempt to break free from Felele’s imprisonment, he made the decision to kill her. Her body and another decomposing corpse were excavated by police from a bush close to the NNPC fueling station in Felele. Aya said that after the investigation was over, Samson will be charged in court.
