A tragic incident occurred in the early hours of yesterday in the Erubiri area of Arogbo, as a man, Mr Odimiyentimi Torusintei from Ajapa, was found dead in Smart Ghetto, while allegedly engaging with a sex worker. According to reports from our correspondent, the man, who died suddenly, was a well-known figure in his community and a church leader in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ajapa.

Eyewitnesses have disclosed that Torusintei, who had one beautiful wife, died unexpectedly while in the company of the sex worker. “I don’t know what instigated him to have an affair with a sex worker,” said a local source. “Life can’t be interpreted,” he added somberly.

The deceased, son of the late Mr. Adeniyi Torusintei, was reportedly wearing a vest with the inscriptions “Ajapa” and “Okuba Ama High School, Ajapa.” Further reports indicate that he was also a teacher at the mentioned school.

Meanwhile, authorities from the Nigeria Police Division Headquarters, Arogbo, have arrested the landlord, Mr. Smart, popularly known as “Papa Gallant,” who is allegedly involved in recruiting the sex workers and receiving daily payments from their work. Two sex workers, including one reportedly involved with the victim, have also been arrested. Information has also revealed that one of the two sex workers arrested during the police raid was innocent and was not present when the incident occurred. A human rights lawyer intervened and secured her release. The victim’s family has taken the body to Ajapa. Further investigation is ongoing, and more details will be provided as they become available.
