Prophets David Uche Warns Against Cursing the Rich, Cites Biblical Consequences
Renowned cleric, Prophet David Uche, has cautioned members of the public against harboring hatred or speaking ill of wealthy individuals, describing such attitudes as spiritually and generationally damaging.
Speaking during a recent exhortation, Prophet Uche advised that people should desist from judging or condemning others over the source of their success, whether perceived to be through rituals, politics, or any other means.
According to him, such assumptions are not the concern of onlookers and often hinder personal growth.
The cleric emphasized that hatred toward successful individuals is a sign of what he termed “generational poverty,” warning that envy and hostility towards the rich can block one’s own path to prosperity.
Quoting Ecclesiastes 10:20, Prophet Uche reminded believers that the Bible warns against cursing kings or the rich, even in private, noting that spoken words; whether in public or in secret-carry consequences.
He further urged people to celebrate, rather than envy, those who are excelling in their respective fields, warning against attempts to pull others down through gossip or confrontation.
“If you constantly fight the rich,” he said, “you will never become one of them.”
Prophet Uche concluded by encouraging individuals to focus on self-development, contentment, and positive speech as keys to personal and collective advancement.
