Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is set to receive the instrument of surrender from prominent opposition politicians on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 12:00 noon at the Akure City Hall. In a press statement signed by the Director, Mobilisation, Nigeria Workstation, High Chief Olutope Adebambo, the politicians, include Kennedy Ikantu Peretei, High Chief Olutope Adebambo, Chief (Mrs) Rachael Ajayi, Hon. Blessing Ologun, and Hon. Omotayo Obolo, They are expected to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Action Alliance (AA) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
APC State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, and members of the State Executive Committee will be present to welcome the defecting politicians.
This move is seen as a significant boost to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration and the APC in Ondo State .

PRESS STATEMENT
ONDO STATE GOVERNOR, LUCKY AIYEDATIWA TO RECEIVE THE INSTRUMENT OF SURRENDER FROM WHAT WAS REMAINING AS OPPOSITION IN THE STATE.
Prominent political gladiators in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Action Alliance (AA) under the umbrella Nigeria Workstation have finally concluded plans to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The list which includes Kennedy Ikantu Peretei, Convener of the Nigeria Workstation, who resigned as the State Publicity Secretary of the PDP in April, 2025, High Chief Olutope Adebambo, former Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government and chieftain of SDP, Chief (Mrs) Rachael Ajayi, 2020 Deputy Governorship Candidate of the SDP, Hon. Blessing Ologun, immediate past Assistant State Treasurer of the PDP, Hon. Omotayo Obolo, aka Mitchel, former Special Assistant to Gov. Mimiko are among those joining the APC.
APC State Chairman in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin and members of the State Executive Committee will be on hand to receive these high profile politicians at the Akure City Hall, on Wednesday, 29th October, 2025 at 12.00 noon.
Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo will personally receive the instrument of surrender from these grassroots politicians who were a challenge to his administration and party as opposition.
