The Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. S. E. Yayu at his residence in Arogbo City.
The visit followed the passing of Hon. Yayu, a respected elder statesman and former public office holder, who died in the early hours of Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
Chairman Molos was accompanied by the Chairman of Arogbo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Samuel Jemi, along with Hon. Israel Timi Emokenigha, Chief Amuluku Amokasi, and other dignitaries from the local government.
The late Hon. S. E. Yayu was a former Member of the Ondo State House of Assembly and also served as Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area between 2008 and 2009. He was a retired principal, widely admired for his dedication to education and community development.
In a brief speech during the visit, Chairman Molos expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the former lawmaker, describing him as “a political trailblazer, community builder, and a man whose legacy will remain indelible in the sands of time.” He prayed that God would grant the bereaved family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
“The people of Ese-Odo and, indeed, the entire Ijaw nation have lost a pillar, a symbol of unity, and a visionary leader,” he said.
The condolence visit was officially confirmed in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Mr. Denis Pounah.
May the soul of Hon. S. E. Yayu rest in peace.
