Police parades sexual offenders, kidnappers and others in one month

The Nigeria Police Force reported significant achievements in combating violent crime over the past month, as stated by Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi. The force arrested 295 armed robbery suspects, 186 suspected kidnappers, 271 murder suspects, and 71 individuals for unlawful possession of firearms. Additionally, 199 were apprehended for sexual offenses, 143 for cultism, and 1,575 for various other crime.

In total, the police recovered 185 firearms, 4,087 rounds of ammunition, and 111 vehicles, while rescuing 129 kidnapping victims. Recently, they dismantled a gunrunning syndicate operating in the Bauchi-Plateau region, arresting several members, including the leader, Taimako Mato, who previously trained at a Boko Haram camp.

The Inspector General of Police assured the public of their commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging citizens to support their efforts in reducing crime. The police are determined to uphold the rule of law and maintain high professional standards in their operations.
