PETROL PALAVER: NNPC’s Unending Saga!
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has once again reneged on its promise to revive the Port Harcourt Refining Company Limited, dashing hopes of an end to petrol scarcity.
Despite numerous timelines and billions of dollars in funding, the refinery remains dormant, leaving Nigerians to suffer the consequences of high pump prices and frequent scarcity.
“It’s outrageous that NNPC Ltd has failed to keep contractors on their toes to meet timelines. It’s either they’re grossly incompetent or complicit in perpetuating the regime of importation,” said a furious Nigerian.
The Ministry of Petroleum Resources and NNPCL have been accused of taking Nigerians for a ride, regularly extending deadlines and making empty promises. “We’ve been lied to for too long. It’s time for accountability and action. Enough is enough!” demanded another Nigerian.
The high cost of refined products and frequent scarcity have devastating financial and economic consequences for Nigerians.
“No other oil-producing country faces this embarrassment. It’s time for the federal government to crack the whip and hold the managers of the oil and gas sector accountable,” said a fed-up citizen.
The truth about the high cost of refined products, collapse of refineries, fuel importation, and oil theft remains shrouded in secrecy.
“Those bent on making life a living hell for Nigerians must be exposed and brought to book,” declared a incensed Nigerian.
Will the NNPC Ltd finally keep its promises and revive the Port-harcourt Refinery, or will Nigerians continue to suffer at the hands of endless excuses and broken deadlines? The nation demands answers!
