PDP inaugurates caretaker committee in Ondo
The National Working Committee (NWC) has inaugurated the Ondo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee.
Kamoru Ajisafe, the National Vice-Chairman for the South-West, officially opened the Committee yesterday in Akure. Saying that “what is before us is valuable, better, and more profitable than what has gone,” Ajisafe urged the party members to be decisive and win-focused rather than focusing their energies on the past.
Acknowledging the previous primaries that produced Agboola Ajayi as transparent, fair, and credible, Ajisafe pointed out that no one ever believed he could win the primary given the circumstances. He expressed gratitude to the state party leadership for their unwavering support and emphasized that the odds were in favor of PDP winning the Ondo governorship election. In addition, he requested a moment of silence in memory of Alhaji Fatai Adams, the former State Chairman, who passed away on February 14, 2024, one day before his term was set to end.
The Committee Chairman, Bakita Bello, responded by pleading for the soul of the late Chairman Alhaji Fatai Adams to rest and emphasizing that their sole duty is to see to it that PDP goes to Government House, which is in November.
