OTUARO, TOMPOLO: IPDI Dismisses Gbaboyor’s Video As Desperate Bid for Fame
The Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative (IPDI) has condemned a video by Jude Gbaboyor, allegedly linked to ex-agitator Ben Ebikabowei (Boyloaf), spreading false claims against Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro and High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo).
Gbaboyor’s video accused Dr. Otuaro of revealing a sensitive document that benefited former President Goodluck Jonathan and attempted to discredit Tompolo.
The IPDI describes this as a desperate bid for fame by maligning respected individuals. They emphasize Dr. Otuaro’s innocence and label the accusations a smear campaign.
“Gbaboyor’s malicious campaign will harm his boss Boyloaf’s reputation. His propaganda will backfire,” the IPDI said. “It’s shameful to accuse Dr. Otuaro of involvement in a document he knew nothing about.”
The IPDI praises Dr. Otuaro and Tompolo as distinguished leaders in the Niger Delta struggle and urges Gbaboyor to focus on constructive contributions, uniting Ijaw leaders rather than spreading falsehoods.
Dr. Otuaro and Tompolo remain unfazed by these baseless accusations, the IPDI stated, promoting fact-based discourse and respect for leaders working towards positive change.
