The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), High Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro, today led a remarkable initiative by distributing brand-new laptops to final-year students under the programme.
The event, held as part of PAP’s commitment to enhancing academic excellence and promoting digital inclusion, was greeted with excitement and appreciation by the beneficiaries. According to the PAP Administrator, the distribution is part of broader reforms aimed at empowering ex-agitators and other beneficiaries with the tools needed to thrive in a 21st-century academic and professional environment.
“This initiative is to bridge the digital divide and equip our students with the necessary tools to succeed; not just in school, but also in the global knowledge economy,” Otuaro said, emphasizing the importance of innovation and preparedness for life after school.
Several students expressed gratitude for the support, describing it as a timely intervention that will aid their project work, research, and job readiness.
The Presidential Amnesty Programme continues to demonstrate a progressive shift under Otuaro’s leadership, aligning education with empowerment and fostering sustainable peace and development in the Niger Delta.
