The Ondo State Liaison Head of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), High Chief Sofiyegha Sylvester Ayebi, has extended warm congratulations to the newly appointed Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Prince Biyi Bill Poroye, and other distinguished members of the reconstituted board, describing the appointment as timely and reflects the visionary leadership style of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
In a goodwill message issued from the Ondo Liaison Office of PAP, located in Agadagba Obon, Arogbo Kingdom, High Chief Ayebi described the appointments as a timely intervention to deepen inclusive development and ensure responsive governance across oil-producing communities in the Mandate areas.
“The appointment of Prince Biyi Bill Poroye is not only well-deserved but providential. He is a son of the soil with an impressive legacy of grassroots engagement and unwavering commitment to the development of the Niger Delta. Under his watch, I am confident OSOPADEC will witness renewed energy, innovation, and people-oriented service delivery,” Ayebi stated.
He further expressed hope that the reconstituted board will usher in a new era of transformative development, youth empowerment, and infrastructural growth, especially in the underserved riverine areas of Ondo State.
High Chief Ayebi also used the occasion to pay glowing tribute to the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, Ph.D, describing him as a visionary leader and mentor whose footsteps continue to guide the leadership style of the Ondo Liaison Office.
“We are simply following the leadership pattern of our master, High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, whose humility, clarity of purpose, and developmental drive have shaped the current trajectory of the Amnesty Programme. As his foot soldiers in the field, we are proud to echo that legacy in Ondo State,” Ayebi added.
He reiterated the PAP’s unwavering commitment to synergize with OSOPADEC and other relevant state institutions to promote peace, reintegration, and sustainable development in the Niger Delta.
“On behalf of the Ondo Liaison Office of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, I extend heartfelt congratulations to Prince Poroye and all board members. May your tenure be fruitful, peaceful, and guided by divine wisdom,” he concluded.
