OSOPADEC Boss Poroye Leads Delegation to Governor’s Office, Demands Rapid Action for Oil Communities

The Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Prince Biyi Poroye, led a high-powered delegation to the office of the Chief of Staff to the Ondo State Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, on Monday, June 23, 2025. It is a move that signals the Commission’s aggressive drive to ensure oil-producing communities get the attention they deserve.

Accompanied by top OSOPADEC officials including the Executive Director of Projects, Dr. Olujimi Kufo, Director of Finance, Malam Marlon Ogbaro, and part-time members of the Commission, Poroye assured the Governor’s Chief of Staff that OSOPADEC under his leadership is prepared to hit the ground running.”

Addressing the Chief of Staff, Poroye stated, We are here to make one thing clear: the era of rhetoric is over, our people demand action. OSOPADEC will not rest until every oil-bearing community in this state feels the impact of good governance.”

He further emphasized the Commission’s readiness to collaborate closely with the state government for rapid intervention in critical areas like healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and infrastructure. Poroye added, With the Governor’s full backing and your esteemed office’s support, we will change the narrative. Our mandate is to leave a legacy of visible, tangible progress.”

In his remarks, the Chief of Staff, Prince Segun Omojuwa, lauded the Commission’s visionary leadership and commitment to delivering lasting development.

The Chief of Staff assured the delegation that the Governor’s Office would give top priority to all OSOPADEC initiatives, especially those with direct impact on the grassroots.
