Victor Osimhen, a forward for the Super Eagles and Napoli, has declined a transfer to Al Ahli, a team in Saudi Arabia.
Though no offer has come close to that figure, the Nigerian striker signed a new deal in December 2023 that allowed him to depart this summer for a release clause worth €130 million.
Al Ahli reportedly offered €70 million for Osimhen on Sunday night, a sum Napoli may take into consideration. On Monday, though, football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano disclosed that the 25-year-old had turned down the Saudi offer. Victor Osimhen is rejecting Al Ahli’s bids since they do not have a release clause and an important income, he wrote.
According to reports, the release provision is essential, or the sale won’t go through at all. Osimhen is anticipated to relocate before the transfer window closes. He has been exercising apart from his Napoli colleagues this summer.
