Dr. Tob Loko Revives Ondo State Ministry of Environment, Applauds Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Visionary Leadership
Dr. Tob Loko, the Honorable Commissioner for Environment in Ondo State, has been at the forefront of revitalizing the Ministry of Environment, breathing new life into its operations and objectives. Under his leadership, the ministry has adopted innovative strategies to tackle some of the state’s most pressing environmental challenges, including waste management, climate change, and environmental degradation.
In alignment with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s _OUR EASE Agenda_, Dr. Loko has evolved strategic approaches, reviewed the environment laws, created a responsibility flow chat, initiated climate and circular economy policy formulation, restored and strengthened the state’s environmental task force, reinvigorated environmental impact assessment drive, ensured aggressive compliance monitoring during monthly environmental sanitation and currently making efforts to put the state’s population under tree cover among others to drive lasting changes in the environment sector.
Recognizing the critical role of collaboration, he has worked tirelessly to bring private stakeholders on board to address waste collection issues.
Dr. Loko has also highlighted the importance of proactive measures against climate change. Flooding and erosion.
