The Ondo State Executive Council has approved the appointment of His Royal Highness, Owei Kekemeke, as the pioneer Amananawei of Agadgba Obon in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo state.
The approval was disclosed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, while briefing journalists in Akure.
According to Takuro, the appointment was carried out in line with established procedures guiding chieftaincy matters in the state. He noted that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening traditional institutions as a means of promoting unity, peace, and sustainable development at the grassroots level.
He added that the recognition of the traditional stool is expected to enhance local governance and support community development efforts within Agadgba Obon and its environs.
