As the clock struck midnight on December 31, 2024, the world united to celebrate the dawn of a new year. His Imperial Majesty, Pere (Barr.) Zacchaeus Doubra Egbunu (JP, FCAI), Opukutu III, The Agadagba and Paramount Ruler of Arogbo Ijaw Kingdom, extended his heartfelt goodwill message to the people of Arogbo Ibe and beyond, emphasizing renewal, reflection, and optimism for the year 2025.

In his words:

“The New Year is more than just a turn of the calendar page; it is a moment of renewal, reflection, and optimism. It’s a time to cherish the memories of the past year, embrace the lessons it taught us, and welcome the opportunities that lie ahead.”

His Majesty highlighted the significance of the New Year as a period to connect with loved ones, share messages of hope, and strengthen bonds of unity. He urged everyone to take this rare opportunity to pause and appreciate the people who matter most in their lives, whether family, friends, colleagues, or acquaintances.

Reflecting on the challenges of 2024, he expressed profound gratitude to his High Chiefs, Chiefs, and relatives for their unwavering support, which helped the kingdom navigate turbulent times.

“A lot of cacophonous situations arose, but your vehement support enabled the kingdom to scrape through. I lucidly believe greetings and a heartfelt message have the power to uplift spirits, reinvigorate, and inspire positively as we step into the unknown with courage and enthusiasm.”

His Majesty encouraged the people of Arogbo Ibe to approach 2025 with hope and determination, embracing the endless possibilities it offers. He concluded his message with blessings for the Kingdom:
