The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has extended its congratulations to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, while also announcing plans to distribute solar-powered fans in selected communities.

In a statement released by the association’s Media Director, Amb. Nwokoma Messiah, the International Spokesperson of IAWPA, Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke, praised the NDDC for its impactful developmental initiatives in the Niger Delta, noting its role in improving lives and fostering sustainable growth.

The global peace organization, which has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2019, lauded the Commission’s current leadership under Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku. According to IAWPA, Ogbuku has introduced a wave of innovation and development that is reshaping the region’s future.

IAWPA highlighted that the NDDC’s 25th anniversary activities; including the inauguration of the Niger Delta Sports Festival and a free medical outreach underscore the Commission’s dedication to health, well-being, and regional development. The association commended these efforts and expressed optimism about future collaboration.

As part of its support, IAWPA announced it will present solar-powered fans to senior officials of the NDDC. This initiative is part of the association’s broader solar fan distribution project aimed at delivering sustainable energy solutions across communities in the Niger Delta.

Reaffirming its dedication to peace-building, development, and collaboration, IAWPA stated that it values its relationship with the Commission. It noted that Dr. Ogbuku, a distinguished member and Eminent Peace Ambassador of the association, continues to play a key role in fostering regional progress. The group pledged to continue celebrating the NDDC’s ongoing achievements.
