The Movement for the Rights of Arogbo-Ibe (MRAI) has issued a strong call for accountability and systemic change in the Niger Delta region, as outlined in the official statement below:

MRAI’s PROVOCATIVE CALL FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND A NEW DAWN OF LEADERSHIP

To the People of Arogbo Kingdom and the Niger Delta Region,

We, the Movement for the Rights of Arogbo-Ibe (MRAI), address you today with a message that demands your attention and action. Our initiative, Operation Unveil Evil Bad Leadership, marks the beginning of a new era—one where the people stand firm against bad leadership, corruption, and the misuse of power. The time for tolerance is over; the time to act is now.

For too long, our communities have been exploited by leaders who have transformed public office into a personal ATM. These individuals have lined their pockets at the expense of the very people they are supposed to serve. It is unacceptable, and it ends today.

MRAI is committed to exposing the corrupt officials who have used their positions to siphon off public funds and funnel them into their families’ hands. We are no longer content with looking the other way while our resources are stolen and misused. As we stand for justice, we will leave no stone unturned in holding those responsible for this malpractice accountable.

This fight is not just against a few bad apples—it is a fight for systemic change. We are calling on every citizen, from Arogbo Kingdom to the far reaches of the Niger Delta, to unite with us. If you are in power and think you can continue to exploit the people for personal gain, we will find you. We will expose you. We will make sure you answer for your actions.

This is a call for the people to rise, to demand transparency, fairness, and accountability from our leaders. We will no longer remain silent while corruption runs rampant. We must all take an active role in demanding the leadership we deserve—the kind that works for the people, not against them.

In our fight, we also urge the Ijaw National Congress (INC) and the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide (IYC) to emulate the legacy of the late Isaac Adaka Boro—who fought not for personal gain but for the collective good of his people. His example must be the guiding light for those in leadership today. It is time for leaders to put the interests of the Niger Delta and its people above their own selfish desires.

MRAI is committed to uncovering every hidden truth about public officeholders. We will stop at nothing to ensure that those who have looted public resources are held accountable. We will not rest until we see a transformation in leadership—one where accountability and justice reign.

Now is the time for all those who believe in a better, fairer future to join us. Together, we will ensure that the leadership we deserve becomes a reality. We will make sure the voices of the people are heard loud and clear, and we will restore integrity to our leadership.

Sincerely,

Hosea T. Ebikontei

Coordinator, MRAI

Bomi Stanley

Secretary, MRAI
