The winds of infrastructure transformation are sweeping through Ondo State as Governor Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa intensifies efforts to rehabilitate and reconstruct key roads across the state.
One of the notable projects gaining rapid traction is the asphalt overlay and rehabilitation of the Omotosho Road in Okitipupa Local Government Area, where the Ministry of Infrastructure is putting finishing touches to the work.
What was once a dilapidated stretch is now becoming a model of responsive governance and purposeful leadership under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s watch.
Residents and indigenes of Okitipupa have not hidden their excitement, lauding the governor for his timely intervention and unwavering commitment to improving road infrastructure.
“This road used to be a nightmare. Today, thanks to Governor Aiyedatiwa, we can now see and feel the impact of governance. He is walking the talk,” said Mr. Akin Adewumi, a local resident who commended the pace and quality of the ongoing project.
The project, which is part of a broader statewide rehabilitation effort approved by the governor, reflects his resolve to bridge infrastructural deficits and stimulate local economic growth through improved mobility and access.
“We are committed to ensuring that no community is left behind. Every local government must feel the impact of this administration,” Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized during a recent inspection tour.
As the Omotosho Road nears completion, hopes are high that other ongoing projects across the state will follow the same trajectory of excellence — proving that under Governor Aiyedatiwa, progress is not just a promise, it’s becoming a legacy in motion.
