The Delta state Police has arrested a young man for allegedly killing mother in Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area. Delta State Police Command personnel have detained a young man suspected of ritual murdering after he allegedly killed his mother by hacking. The young man who recently returned from Ghana allegedly tricked his mother into taking him to a location in the neighborhood, according to community sources who spoke to Vanguard. On their way back on foot, the youngster allegedly took a small step away from the mother and then stabbed her in the neck from behind with a sharp knife.

“Those who heard the mother scream hurried to the scene, overpowered the boy, and used the knife he used on the mother to further demobilize one of his legs so he couldn’t flee.” According to a community member who went by Ovo, “He was turned over to the police.” Once the police had his statement, Ovo said, they transported the youngster to the hospital for treatment. “He was taken to the hospital.” “They had obtained a confessional statement from him prior to this,” he stated. The child said that he was instructed to harm the mother in Ghana, according to one of the people who turned him over to the police.

He spoke very little. According to the source, who wishes to remain anonymous, “he only stated that they told him in Ghana to do what he did to the mother.” “Thank God the mother’s scream was heard. No one would have known how she was killed, and her body would have just been abandoned by the side of the road. Another local, Kevwe, noted, “It’s likely that the boy would have left the town as well.” Vanguard learned that the mother’s corpses had been taken to a morgue.
