Manchester City announced on Thursday the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush for an initial fee of approximately £59 million ($72.6 million), with an additional £4.2 million in potential add-ons.
The 25-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the reigning Premier League champions, becoming the club’s third signing of the January transfer window after defenders Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis.

“This is a moment I will cherish forever. Joining Manchester City, one of the world’s top teams, is an incredible feeling,” said Marmoush. “My family and I are thrilled to be here in Manchester.”
City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, praised Marmoush as an “exceptional and dynamic forward.”
“He’s been outstanding this season, consistently making an impact in games,” said Begiristain. “He possesses the qualities of a world-class attacker — remarkable pace, sharp awareness, and clinical finishing. His versatility to play across multiple positions makes him a valuable addition to our squad.”
Marmoush’s arrival comes amid a challenging season for Manchester City. Despite winning the league in the past four campaigns, they currently sit fifth in the Premier League, trailing leaders Liverpool by 12 points, having played one game more.
Additionally, a defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday has placed Pep Guardiola’s team at risk of missing out on the Champions League knockout stages.
