A man named Daniel has reportedly killed his brother, Emmanuel, during a heated argument in the Onigbara River area of Odigbo Local Government Area, Ondo State.
The tragic event, which occurred on Monday evening, has left the local community in shock and mourning.
A resident, who chose to remain anonymous, said the exact cause of the dispute remains unclear.
“We still don’t know what led to such a terrible outcome between the two brothers,” the source said.
Investigations revealed that the siblings are sons of a local community policing officer known as Awilo.
Confirming the incident in a phone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Ondo State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that the Commissioner of Police has directed the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Akure for a detailed investigation.
