King Tom Praises Otuaro for Bold Moves to Reform PAP, Cautions Otuaro’s Critics: Cease the Disruptions!

The King of Okochiri Kingdom in Okirika Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRM King Ateke Tom, has praised Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), for his significant achievements since assuming office.

The monarch lauded Otuaro’s well-thought-out reforms aimed at repositioning the PAP for improved and quality service delivery. King Tom expressed these sentiments during a visit by Otuaro to his palace in Okochiri over the weekend. He highlighted Otuaro’s capacity to lead the programme effectively.

These commendations were detailed in a statement released on Sunday by Mr. Igoniko Oduma, Special Assistant on Media to the PAP Administrator. King Tom also cautioned those he described as Otuaro’s detractors to cease their distractive activities and allow him to focus on his duties.

In his response, Otuaro acknowledged the significance of Okochiri as an ancient kingdom in Ijaw land. He explained that his visit to the traditional ruler was part of ongoing consultations and engagements with key stakeholders in the Niger Delta. Otuaro noted that King Tom is a prominent Niger Delta activist known for his consistent advocacy for better living standards in the region.

Otuaro expressed gratitude for King Tom’s fatherly advice and encouragement, assuring that he and his team are committed to delivering quality service in line with the President’s renewed hope agenda.
