The Arogbo Elites Forum has strongly condemned recent attacks on High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) and Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro over the pipeline contracts awarded to Tompolo and the appointment of Dr. Otuaro as the Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
In a statement signed by its President, Ezekiel Ugowonni, the forum described the attacks, allegedly orchestrated by Jude Gbabojor and his sponsors, as baseless and driven by selfish interests.
“Their infertile attacks stem from selfishness and greed,” the statement read. “Tompolo, a builder of men, has mentored and empowered numerous individuals, some of whom are now behind these reckless attacks from Jude Gbabojor.”

The forum also commended Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro for his leadership, emphasizing that the Presidential Amnesty Programme, which had lost focus for over a decade, has been revitalized under his watch.
“Out of sheer greed and wickedness, some Ijaw leaders are attacking the developmental strides of the current leadership. It would be wise to stand on the path of righteousness and support initiatives that advance the Niger Delta people,” Ugowonni added.
He further asserted that social media blackmail and name-calling would not deter the efforts of Tompolo and Dr. Otuaro, as they continue to enjoy widespread support from the Niger Delta people.
“As a group and as youths from different Ijaw kingdoms, we will always stand with Tompolo and Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro,” the statement concluded.
