IPF Media Conference Receives High-Level Endorsement from DESOPADEC Commissioner
Ahead of the inaugural Ijaw Media Conference and Annual Dialogue, scheduled for December 11, 2024, in Bayelsa State, the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has received a significant boost. The Commissioner representing the Ijaw ethnic nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has commended the IPF for organizing this groundbreaking event.
Themed “Advancing the Quest for Economic/Political Freedom in a Siege Nation,” the conference is set to unite leaders and stakeholders to explore innovative solutions for the economic growth of the Ijaw nation and the broader Niger Delta region. The Commissioner has pledged active participation and full support for the event, highlighting its potential to foster essential discussions on economic progress, political freedom, and media empowerment.
The IPF delegation, led by its president and event planning committee chairman, Comrade Ozobo Austin, includes prominent figures such as MMD Tamsokunbiri, CEO of Kpakam TV, Mr. Sunday Ayemofaye, CEO of Ogulagha Vanguard, Comrade Freeborn Abraye, CEO of Coastal Times Newspaper, and others.
