IPF Endorses Celebration Honoring Late Olotu of Egbema Kingdom, Chief Ebi Tebela
The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has officially endorsed the upcoming Chief Ebi Tebela Remembrance celebration, set to take place on September 23, 2024, in honor of the late Olotu of the Egbema Kingdom and celebrity.
This endorsement came after a visit from the event’s planning committee, which included Chairman Mr. Gideon Ebipade (aka Darling Gid), Secretary Comrade Gandi Wisdom, PRO Mr. Atigbi Lugard, Treasurer Mr. Abioka Karina (aka Mc Abioka), and members Mr. Luis Ebi Tebela, Miss Sarah Shell, and Mr. Meshach Ojijoh, along with Tebela’s children.
Following a closed-door meeting held at TM Hotel in Warri, Delta State, IPF President Comrade Ozobo Austin spoke to the press, emphasizing the significance of supporting the remembrance celebration. He highlighted Tebela’s charitable efforts, which impacted thousands of lives, including those within the media sector.
“Ebi Tebela was a generous and selfless figure who contributed immensely to our community and beyond. His legacy deserves to be celebrated, and we call on Ijaw leaders and stakeholders to unite in honoring his memory,” Austin said.
He further remarked, “Recognizing and rewarding good people not only encourages them to do more but also inspires those around them to strive for positive impact, knowing it brings reward.”
With the IPF’s endorsement, the Ebi Tebela Remembrance celebration is expected to be a heartfelt tribute to a remarkable individual, attracting strong support from the Ijaw community and beyond.
