The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF) has recognized General Chief Benjamin Ekeremor, a Niger Delta ex-agitator and philanthropist, for his outstanding leadership and humanitarian contributions to the Ijaw and Niger Delta region. He was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation on Friday in acknowledgment of his unwavering commitment to the betterment of his people.
The National President of IPF, Comrade Ozobo Austin, conferred the honour on Chief Ekeremor during the Benja Light Academy inter-house sports competition held in Okosuama, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State. Speaking at the event, Ozobo emphasized that Chief Ekeremor’s exceptional track record in the Niger Delta emancipation movement and his dedication to humanitarian causes made him more than deserving of the recognition.
“Gen. Benjamin Ekeremor has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the development of the Niger Delta. This award is a token of appreciation for his contributions, and he truly deserves even greater recognition,” Ozobo remarked.
In his response, Chief Ekeremor expressed deep gratitude to the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum for acknowledging his efforts. He stated that the award would serve as motivation for him to continue his work in uplifting the region. He also offered prayers for lasting peace and progress in the Niger Delta.
The award presentation was witnessed by prominent IPF members, including Vice President Mr. Oyinbi Onduku, Secretary Mr. Tare Magei, Assistant Secretary Dr. Perez Bibakefie, Elder Opukeme Cletus, Pastor Arex Akemotubo, Mr. Tam Okumbiri, Mr. Preye Ekpegha, and Mr. Tamaradoubra Benjamin, among others.
