I will free Ondo People from Political pride_Akinmurele of YPP
It’s time to free the people of Ondo State from political haughtiness and the power of ambiguous incumbency, according to John Otitoloju Akinmurele, the Young Progressives Congress (YPP) candidate for the November 16 governorship election.
Speaking in Akure yesterday, Akinmurele said that although the coastal state possesses the second-largest undeveloped bitumen reserves in the world, its people are still suffering. He made this claim while meeting with party stakeholders from all 203 of the state’s political wards in advance of the election. He declared that it was time to reject “the very toxic old order” because politicians had been stifling the state for far too long by prioritizing their own self-interest over the welfare of the populace.
“This state has been held by the jugular for too long,” he said. People in this state have suffered for far too long without anyone not even the governor accepting accountability. Even if one governor had accepted accountability, it would not have been sufficient.Their greatest efforts have fallen short. That is the reason I declared that I am coming to save people from what is known as political hubris, from the power of ambiguous incumbency, from the power of thinking that I am the only one, from the belief that our party has been in power since the founding of the republic, and from the conceit of those in the media industry.
Being a leader or a governor requires a significant commitment from someone who is not unwavering in his beliefs. Whoever it is who is incapable of taking such a commitment seriously must be conceited. That individual exudes conceit. We are discussing the revolution of the ballot. Because democracy has allowed us to legitimately elect new leaders every four years, I believe that the best course of action right now is what we refer to as a “ballot revolution.”According to him, the YPP is the only party that can save the state given the hardships the APC-led federal government has imposed on the country and the state administration’s purported indifference to the suffering of its people.
Let’s all cast our votes for YPP at the polls. We have persuaded the public that we are the better option, therefore let’s vote out the PDP, APC, or whoever. We have persuaded the public with our extraordinary bravery. They are the propagandists. Rare bravery springs from the establishment of immorality. You cannot do what we are doing if you are not so sincere.
