Honouring A Nationalist: PAP Boss, DR. Dennis Otuaro pays last respect to Late Pa. E.K Clark

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Otuaro, joined other Numero unos across the Nation to pay his final respects to the late elder statesman, nationalist, and foremost Ijaw leader, Pa Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, during his funeral rites held in Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Dr. Otuaro, accompanied by galaxy of PAP staff, described the passing of Pa Clark as a monumental loss to the Ijaw nation and Nigeria at large, noting his lifelong commitment to justice, minority rights, and national development.

The solemn ceremony witnessed an outpouring of tributes from leaders across the Niger Delta and beyond, who gathered to honour the legacy of a man widely regarded as the voice of the Niger Delta and a tireless advocate for equity in the Nigerian federation.

“Pa Clark was not just a leader; he was a symbol of our collective struggle for justice and inclusion,” Dr. Otuaro said. “His contributions to the growth of the Ijaw nation and the progress of Nigeria are indelible.”

The Presidential Amnesty Programme staff present at the funeral offered their condolences to the family and the Ijaw nation, reiterating their commitment to uphold the ideals that Pa Clark stood for.

Pa E.K. Clark passed on at the age of 97, leaving behind a legacy of activism, statesmanship, and service to humanity.
