Hon. Maxwell Gabriel Morris has extended warm congratulations to Rt. Hon. Prince Chibudom Nwuche on his recent appointment as the Chairman of the South-South Development Commission (SSDC), describing it as a “well-deserved” recognition of his longstanding service and leadership.
In an official statement released from Port Harcourt, Hon. Morris praised the appointment as a step in the right direction for the development of the Niger Delta and the South-South geopolitical zone.
“This appointment is a attestation to your years of commitment, leadership, and service to the Niger Delta and the nation at large,” Morris said. “I am confident that under your capable leadership, the Commission will witness impactful development and foster greater unity and progress across the South-South region.”
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for what he described as a “thoughtful and strategic” decision in appointing Rt. Hon. Nwuche, a respected statesman and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“This move reflects the President’s unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, regional development, and the empowerment of credible leaders across the country,” Morris noted.
Hon. Maxwell Morris concluded his message with prayers for divine guidance and strength for the new SSDC Chairman as he takes on the responsibility of steering the Commission toward achieving its developmental mandate.
