In another strategic tour on the inter-play of Ese-odo politics, Hon. Samuel Ebijoh Jemi, a contender for the Ese-Odo Constituency seat in the Ondo State House of Assembly, has continued his outreach with a high-level consultation including Hon. Tob Ebiwoni Loko (PhD), Commissioner for Environment, in Akure.

The engagement, part of a broader stakeholder consultation drive, centred on ecological management, grassroots development, and inclusive representation for communities within Ese-Odo Local Government Area.

Addressing the stakeholders, Jemi said his consultations are aimed at gathering informed perspectives on the developmental and environmental realities of the constituency, particularly in vulnerable riverine areas.

This process is about listening, understanding local challenges, and identifying workable solutions that will benefit our people,” he stated.

In his remarks, Dr. Loko underscored the need for policy alignment between development initiatives and environmental sustainability, especially in coastal regions.

Sustainable development cannot be separated from environmental responsibility, particularly in areas like Ese-Odo,” he said.

He further acknowledged Jemi’s outreach efforts and expressed confidence in the value of continuous engagement with stakeholders.

Also the consultation cut across prominent political figures and government functionaries, including Agabra Ikoto, former State Deputy Chairman of the APC; Serah Esaikumoh, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Affairs; Hon. Allen Sowore (Esq), Special Adviser on Strategic Communication; as well as Barrister Iwabi T.A of the Ondo State Civil Service Commission.

Sources familiar with the meeting said discussions explored collaborative approaches to tackling environmental concerns and enhancing socio-economic prospects within the constituency.

With consultations ongoing, Hon. Jemi is expanding his engagement with party stakeholders and government officials as the build-up to the 2027 state assembly election gradually intensifies.

Observers note that such interactions may play a role in shaping alliances and influencing the dynamics of the Ese-Odo contest in the prospective political cycle.
