High Chief Molos Mobilizes Works Team to Revamp Igbotu’s Township Roads
The executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, has extended his ongoing road rehabilitation campaign to Igbotu community, as part of a broader push to upgrade infrastructure across the council.
The exercise, which involves the grading and levelling of key access roads within the town, is being executed by the council’s boss, aimed at improving mobility and stimulating socio-economic activities in the riverine area.
Officials said the intervention forms part of a sustained, council-wide infrastructure programme targeting communities with poor road networks.
“This is a continuous project until all the towns on land experience total grading of township roads across Ese-Odo LGA,” Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Denis Pounah, said.
The project is being handled by the council’s Works Department, with supervision from the councillor representing the ward, Hon. Dele Fauga, and the Supervisor for Works and Transport, Hon. Belele Akikoromowei.
Residents who spoke on the development expressed hope that the exercise would ease transportation challenges and improve access to economic opportunities within and around the community.
The Igbotu intervention follows similar grading works recently carried out in other parts of the local government, as the administration sustains efforts to address infrastructure deficits and improve living conditions across Ese-Odo.
