The Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has submitted a list of 12 commissioner nominees to the Ondo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
In a formal letter addressed to the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, the Governor cited Section 192 (1&2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) as the legal basis for the nominations.
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed confidence in the capabilities of the nominees and urged the lawmakers to give the list prompt attention in the interest of good governance and accelerated development in the state.

According to the letter, the governor emphasized the importance of swift legislative action to facilitate the reconstitution of the State Executive Council, ensuring effective service delivery to the people of Ondo State.
The nomination list was made public on Thursday, June 12, 2025, by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
