On this day in 2023, the lives of five beloved members of the organization; Mr. Joseph Ekeremieye, Ms. Ikesima Brown, Mr. Tuku Eniekebi, Mr. Romeo Appah, and Ms. Miriam Amadi; were tragically cut short in a fatal car accident.
The incident, which occurred while the group was returning from a musical engagement, sent shockwaves across the Niger Delta and beyond, prompting an outpouring of grief from fans, colleagues, and sympathizers.
In a statement released today, the Smooth Musical Organization expressed heartfelt remembrance and enduring sorrow over the loss:
