Gbengben Festival: Ondo Tantita Boss, Asonja, Lauds Gov. Aiyedatiwa, Tompolo, Tunji-Ojo, Others

Following a successful hosting of the 2025 edition of the popular Gbegben Festival, Ondo State Coordinator of the Tantita Security Services Limited (TSS), Senior High Chief Felix Idowu Asonja, has expressed gratitude for the various support, cooperation and contributions received from the governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for not only enduring a conducive and secure environment for the festival but for also giving material support.

Asonja profusely thanked the visioner and Chairman of Tantita Security Security Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, whom he described as his unfailing prop, mentor and benefactor, noting that ‘he did so much to ensure that we had it soon’.

Held last Thursday, the Gbegben Festival is annual cultural event yearly organised by Idigbengben Community in Ilaje local government area of Ondo State, wherein the rich and dynamic Ilaje cultural heritage and endowments are exhibited, and, in so doing, promoting the state’s tourism potentials.

In his reaction to this year’s edition of Gbengben festival, Asonja also lauded the support given by the Chairman of the 2025 Gbengben festival who is also the General Manager (Operations) of the Tantita Security Security, Nigeria Limited, Sir Godfrey tare pondi (King of the youths).

The Coordinator applauded the support given by the Gen Ayon Silver green, Member of the House of Representative representing Ilaje and Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, Hon. Donald Ojogo and the Managing Director of Tantita Security Security, Nigeria Limited, High Chief Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi.

Senior High Chief Asonja who praised Honourable Nibe Tawose and the Chiefs of Protocol to Governor Aiyedatiwa, Mr. Abayomi Olasanya and George Asonja, also thanked the Ondo Tantita Team, Managing Director of the Tiena Hotel and Suits, Engr Monday Obajimi, Managing Director of Brit Light Hotel, guests from Lagos and FCT, and other distinguished Nigerians present at the event.

The festival featured, among other things, traditional performances, prayers for the development of the Idigbengben Community and the prosperity of her people, and royal exhibitions.
