FULL LIST OF COUNTRIES THAT HAVE JOINED DONALD TRUMP’S PROPOSED BOARD OF PEACE
The proposed Board of Peace initiative unveiled by United States President Donald Trump is gradually taking shape, with several countries across different regions of the world indicating their willingness to join the platform.
The initiative is designed to provide a coordinated international framework for resolving global conflicts. Trump first announced the idea in September while presenting his strategy to end the Gaza conflict, after which invitations were extended to multiple world leaders.
According to a draft charter of the Board reportedly seen by international media, the scope of the initiative has expanded beyond the Gaza crisis. Trump is expected to serve as the Board’s inaugural chairman and would reportedly wield extensive executive powers, including the authority to veto decisions and remove members.
Membership of the Board is set at three-year terms. However, countries that contribute $1 billion towards funding the Board’s activities would be granted permanent membership.
Individuals listed as founding members of the Board’s Executive Council include U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
A senior White House official disclosed that about 35 world leaders have committed to the initiative so far, comprising a mix of long-standing U.S. allies and some controversial participants.
